What is the perfect lunch?

Just curious. Lunch seems to be most difficult time to eat healthy, especially in the workplace.

So I'm just wondering what everyone's idea of the "perfect lunch" includes as far as eating good clean foods. I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

If you're bulking, go for the deli food and don't hold back. If you're cutting.. you're screwed :p Try subway (no cheese, no mayo, hold the tears) or pack your own lunch.

My fav lately is leftover rice-a-roni with marinated chicken strips or cubes on top. Easy to make and I get two meals out of it. I usually include corn or peas in the rice as well.

while bulking and cutting i've just been eating 2 deli meat sandwiches (ham and cheese, turkey and cheese). i've also added in some yogurt. when i was bulking however I would snack on junkfood while at work too.

granted i've only been cutting since the beginning of last week, but i can definitely "feel" it already, and i lost 1lb last week. i'm weighing myself every monday to make sure i don't lose too much in a week because i am really trying to retain my size while cutting. so far I haven't seen any strength losses either.

oh also while bulking i was eating 2 sandwiches right around 1pm. now that i'm cutting i may change it to eating 1 + cup of yogurt around noon and then another one around 3-4pm. but so far i'm not doing that but i may change that up next week.

On days I lift I have a concoction that consists of 1 egg, I can of tuna (I often substitute it with baked chicken pieces or crab flavored white fish), cottage cheese, tubule, humus and 3 or 4 sun dried tomatoes all mixed up in a bowl.

I recently discovered Subway has an insane amount of salt in most of their sandwiches, the foot long roasted chicken (without cheese or sauce) is about 1700mg. Argh. Lots of carbs in the bread too. Gotta stop that stuff and just eat tuna and chicken breasts instead.

What would you guys recommend for someone that doesn't have access to a microwave? I do deliveries and all I have all day is my cold lunch box with no way to heat anything. On the other hand I do have the option of eating anywhere on the road, but I don't want to break the bank. :)

Thanks

When I was running I'd take a bag of carrots and/or mini-tomatoes, two sandwiches, a yogurt, a can of juice (Jumex or Del Valle!) and maybe a sweet munchy of some sort. I had a sandwich assembly line on the weekend - ten sandwiches all lined up for PB+J or ham and mustard! :p
