I'm under 21 by a few years. Several people have been telling me I could certainly get away with doing the slot machines. Now if they catch me, what are they going to do with me? Just ask me to stop doing it or to leave? Or would they probably arrest me?

castration.

Damn, that would really suck.

sometimes they take you chips too... like if you play the dollar slots or what not. that would suck if you had a lot of money converted to chips.

Thanks for all the additional replies. Right now I'm at Kinko's in St. George, Utah. 🙂 Damn is it hot out here.. Anyway, my parents are with me. So if I actually win anything when I'm in Vegas I'm going to try to get the payout receipt (that's how the machines do it, right?) to my parents so they can collect it. 😀

I don't think there is a payout receipt. There will be just some blinking lights or screen message on the machine indicating for you to get a cashier to get the rest of the payout (I haven't had experience myself so don't necessary take my word for it).

About passing the winnings to your parents-I think I do remember vaguely watching on the news more than 5-10 years ago where some underage person won some money and had someone else try to claim it. Needless to say, it didn't work. I guess they didn't notice the security cameras or hoped they wouldn't be caught.

I just went to Google to find an exact case. Found one on Snopes.com (regarding a myth "casinos pump extra oxygen onto gaming floors..."):

In 1989 a Nevada court denied 19-year-old Kirk Erickson a $1,061,812 jackpot he'd hit at Caesar's Palace in 1987.
Associated Press. "Judge Denies Jackpot to Underage Gambler."
27 June 1989.
