AKG K340. Not sure exactly when it was manufactured but would have been between 1975 to 1985.

I have a speaker set I started when I was like 14? Started with the left and right, then bought the center then rear left and right. Took me maybe a year or so to complete? So yeah 14 year old Cerwin Vega speakers. Technically the receiver worked up until last year (a Sony) but I broke the power button by kicking it too hard (was turning it off with my toe) and half the remote stopped working.

But, the speakers & sub (sub came a few years later) are still kicking!

Until 2011 it was probably my 1996 Saturn.
The belt I wear every day has got to be from the late 90's also. Shows virtually no wear after all this time. I refuse to give it up.

yamaha pre-amp in my media room is probably 15 years old... sounds better than most new receivers, running a pair of diy powered studio monitors + diy subwoofer... i use to have a pioneer elite receiver using the same monitors as mains, and it sounds better with the old yamaha (and this room is really too small for 5.1/7.1 dont really miss it that much...mostly lisen to music anyway..

Probably my LIAN-LI V Cool PC-V1200 A-PLUS Silver EATX Aluminum Tower Case and my Dell 2407WFP Monitor. I bought both in 2006 and they both act and feel just as good as the day I bought them. I'm sure the monitor will die at some point, but I will probably be buried in that case.

Top of my head, I think the Altech Lansing 3 pcs computer speakers system (sub and 2 small speakers) is still working. The desktop radio/alarm with regular size phone (land line) combo is still working. Both of those are at least 10 years or older.

Edit: I checked and the speakers (they look just like the pic from Wyndru post below - about the same size with same color) were purchased in 2000 and the radio/phone combo was given to me in the mid 90's.

Like the OP, I, too, still use an old Boston Acoustics speaker set. Mine came with the first desktop I owned, a Gateway system back in 1998. While everything else was outdated or junk in a few years (heck, it wasn't a good system when I got it - too many BSODs, no dedicated graphics, either), the speaker set I still have as well as the keyboard. It's funny that basic systems back then were in the $1,500+ range, but the peripherals well outlasted the computers. No computer builders are going to throw in quality peripherals anymore when the average cheap desktop is $300 to $500. I still use the keyboard (PS/2 connector) with older computers that I repair. Not quite model M, but the keys are plenty clicky and it feels solid.

This speaker set isn't my main one, but I use it from time to time with either my laptop or a computer I'm setting up/testing. My Logitech Z-5300e set is at a friend's house right now, but the Boston Acoustics speakers are still pretty good quality. If you happen to see them for dirt cheap online or at a garage sale I'd still recommend them.

EDIT: I think I still have my 4GB hard drive from that computer. :D I don't regularly use it, though I did check if I had anything on it from 1999 a little while back. Damn nostalgia, now I want to play a game of Descent II, Comanche 2, or MechWarrior... 2. A lot of good action/simulation games from that era...

Haha, I think mine is a speaker set too (also an old pair of Altec's). I got them in 1996 IIRC. It makes me wonder how these companies stay in business, it seems most buy 1 set and just use them for years.

My monitor, a Dell 2707wfp from 2007 is still in faithful service and I still love it. Great monitor.

I guess my car has it beat though, being a 2005 model.

My 12" cast iron skillet is a bit of a family heirloom and has been used since some time in the 1950's. It was a wedding gift of my grandmothers. It's not daily that I use it, but at least 3-4 times a week.

Electronic wise, I'm still rocking a Dell 2005 FPW from 2005. Good as new and still looks great.

I have an orange Tupperware drinking glass and a kids plastic plate that I've had forever and refuse to throw them away. My girlfriend thinks this is ridicule. It probably is.

That is a great monitor. Was my first big monitor purchase back in the day.
I gave it to my dad to use, the picture on that monitor is incredible, even still.

Yep! I think I bought it through a deal linked here actually. Plus I opened up one of those Dell DPA accounts to get an extra 3% off :)

I think I paid right around $200 for it almost 8 years ago. That has to be one of my better electronic purchases I've ever made.
