I have a ten pound lead bar on my desk. At first glance it looks like a black board eraser. It came inside a love seat.

A 10 MHz rubidium frequency standard. I was going to put mHz just to see how many get bent out of shape over the error, but then I thought, nah.

When my grandmother died we found 50lbs of horse hoof treatment in her closet. She of course did not have a horse, and the theory is that she bought it to participate in a publishers clearing house contest. I still have it to this day. Been almost 10 years, and can't bring myself to throw it out.

Might be good for your fingernails. You should look into it, it could be useful.

I guess there's a genetic factor to hoarding :)

If you watch the documentary TV shows, a lot of them hold onto things for the memories.

A quick look around the room didn't yield much that I thought was 'odd' in any kind of notable way. This is the best I could come up with:

Hmmm. . . I like Lego?

The pic shows approximately 15,000 heads which of course are just spares. I have around 75,000 heads.

so you should know that your explanation has creeped us out further....

:hmm:

I hope you're joking but I fear you aren't.

They're for shoes. I have the same ones lying around somewhere. They made lots of them. They did not make cast iron legs.
