That's it, this company has pissed me off for the last time. I'm done, I'm through. I am officially starting the job search, and as soon as I find something, I'm gone. But, I am so pissed off at this company, I feel they've got to go down for all the pirated software around here. The copies of Windows being used are from burned CD's (including NT Server and Workstation), cracked version of some popular CD burning software, copies of Office installed on multiple machines, copies Oracle and SQL. The list goes on. So, who do I call to report this?

You are referring to the BSA (Business Software Alliance), who can be found at www.bsa.org. A specific URL to report "piracy" (er, the correct term would be "copyright infringement", because we're not on the high seas) would be here.

The BSA openly claims that it gets most of its leads from disgruntled ex-employees.

Now for my opinion: I can't comment on your employment situation. However, Slashdot, Infoanarchy, and other websites have often reported on the Gestapo-like tactics of the BSA, and because of that I have ethical concerns about that organization.

Gestapo like tactics works for me. When I am gone from this company, I don't care what happens to them. All the pirated software here has bothered me for awhile, but as soon as I'm gone, it's REALLY going to bother them.

You could, I suppose, get a fatwa declared against your former employer.. Nothing like the threat of Islamic terrorism to put a corporation in its place...

meh... It will be pretty cool to pull that on school. I'm sure they got ALOT of pirated softwares.

student: you better give me 4.0 or I'll rat the school out for all the copyright infringement. Also I'll shut the fundraiser concession stand, because you don't have the required permit from health department.

There is a teacher who I hate with a passion. He grades me real harsh(i.e. 79% doesn't cut as B even though it should according to proper sig fig calculation) and he's hostile toward me. If I'm chatting with four girls around me, he screams at me, not the girls.

Anyways this teacher has got his own microwave, audio equipment and stuff in the classroom. There is no outlet near these gadgets, so he got an extension cord U-tacked(U looking coated nail) along the wall from door end of the class room to his desk area. Last time I checked, permanent installation of extension cord in such way is in violation of NEC. I suppose I could call the school/district's fire insurance company up to report NEC violation which is relevant to fire hazard. They may bother the admin, who in turn make the teacher take down his gadgets. All this chain reaction seems fun :D . It is 100% legitimate too.

So as long as they are giving you a pay check you can stand using the illeagl copies? Is it me or does that make no sense what so ever? If it bugs you why didn't you report it before they "pissed" you off?

From all that I have read they give you a warning first then do a second aduit and if you don't comply after that they give you 30 days then they take you to court.

I wanna see the code enforcement or the admin making that teacher disconnect power to his gadgets through "NEC non-compliant permanent installation of extension cord" :D

Jerboy, I don't believe any teacher would have a reason to be harsh to you. ;)
