"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

I was really happy to see the USSC uphold this one in the Trinity Lutheran case. TG for President Trump and Justice Neil Gorsuch!

So, you DO in fact support welfare queens, eh?

I'll tell you what the NRA means to me.
I'm a Canadian.
I went to a summer camp in Washington state for a couple years as a kid.
The NRA taught me about gun basics, gun safety, and how to shoot.
I've still got some of the certificates...I owe the NRA a debt of gratitude.
----
Regardless of the political leanings of the NRA,or lobbying or whatever , they can and do teach about guns.
That's a good thing,Everyone should learn the basics.
It's in the category of 'learning how to use tools'.

Ok? Tell me how somebody looking for a group to protect the 2nd amendment would choose the ACLU over the NRA.

I'm still not sure who is threatening the 2nd Amendment in the first place? Oh, OH! is it those "Welfare Queens" I always hear about??

I have no clue what you're talking about.
He disagreed with....“If the cases just described make one thing clear, it is that such a policy imposes a penalty on the free exercise of religion that triggers the most exacting scrutiny.”

The other point is that he, himself, is one.

you must be in your 60s or 70s. Teaching gun safety was all they were about early on, and in fact they were the biggest gun control advocates anywhere--lol, the NRA actually founded gun control advocacy. I hope a few conservative heads explode because of this--but not now.

They don't care about gun safety. They just care about $$$$$$ and however many murders it takes to increase the $$$$

Under LaPierre's leadership, the NRA has fanned the flames of paranoia among gun owners raving about crime & gun grabbers.

Can't figure it out? Figure that NRA members voted en masse for Trump. They really have no idea why, but it felt good at the time.

I'm a supporter of the 2nd amendment, but not the NRA's biggest fan. But you know what's even worse? That an NRA has to exist because the left has been so anti-2A.

One of my lefty left friends in Cali bought a rifle and pistol before their new laws took effect in December. He claimed ignorance of the new bans. Liar.

Said he needed to protect himself from the thumpers..anti black, anti gay, anti women, zombies. Liar.

Anyway, gun sales to the left..+1

Excuse me, but LaPierre is one whacked out mofo. He's a lot like Trump, playing on irrational fear to advance his own fortunes.

There were already too many heavily armed right wing nutbars before he set out to increase the crazification.

The NRA doesn't believe a 100 pound woman should have no way to protect herself from a 200 pound man attacking / raping her.

That's great. The 2nd is for all of us.

Like I said, I'm not the NRA's biggest fan, I hate that they've become a conservative / GOP circle jerk that's lost its focus. But, the left help build that with their absolutely irrational views on guns and push for ridiculous restrictions on guns. The anti-gun liberals helped create this monster.
