Definitely the best one so far.

Imagine cars powered by transmitted energy, no more need for gasoline!
Switching to alternative fuels would be more feasible since you can build your ethanol plants or other alternative fuel power generators right next to the fuel source and send the power anywhere.

Tesla supposedly had something like this in his lab

I do believe you are correct; power can be broadcast.

that's what i have heard too, but im skeptical because i have not idea how one would transfer power wirelessly, and safely

my guess, is far improved batteries, since the ones we have aren't all they great

Sorry, but I would need linkage to believe. Probably the only way to achive this right now is though directed solar energy that is then picked up by photoelectric cells or converted into heat/steam for power. Not quite what I meant. And Tesla could get energy to jump all over but I think for a technology like this to be useful you would have to be able to do it without vaporizing everything in the path.

of course power can be broadcast, what do you think electromagnetic waves are? there is an electric field component and a magnetic field component that travel perpendicular to the direction of the wave, and the power travels in the direction of propagation(ie P=ExH)

OK, I am NOT an electrical engineer, but AFAIK electromagnetic energy != electricity

i happen to think the minority report movie has some cool, and maybe realistic, views of future tech... except for the precogs of course.

I've seen something on this a couple years ago. Something like they took electricity and changed it into a high power microwave signal, and then converted back on the receiving end to electricity. It wasn't very efficient though.

QFT... plus I think there will be a drastic push by some countries for energy conservation. In which case technology and more efficient ways of generating energy will be created.

Dammit, you're just like every other Marketing schlep out there. You tell us to create something and then when you do, you decide to throw in all these sh*tty "parameters".

nano enabled solar panels capable of caputring .001% of 1% of the sunlight that reaches the earth would produce seemingly unlimitted power.
