What is the most technologically advanced thing on your wrist...

1940's Longines self-winding watch.

Pic. It used to be my grandfather's. I'm going to have it cleaned up and a new crystal put on, the current one is way too scratched.

i got one of those automatic self winding watches from the 1950's or 40's.. it was my grandfathers..

I never wore it, mom is too scared i would break it (well back in the day).. i havent seen it ages. Its a family heirloom of sorts.. and while it was given to me by my grandmother before she died, i never wore it. Next time i go to india i got to find it and bring it back.. i can atleast keep it with me here right?

I figure that grandpa obviously wore the watch a lot considering its condition, I'm just keeping up the tradition.

I have one of those for hiking, but don't wear it beyond that. The Altimeter comes in handy when up in the mountains, and is surprisingly accurate. Also, (odd coincidence), I know the guy who runs the site you posted that image from. 🙂

I don't wear watches beyond that, though.

I rarely wear a watch. All my watches are cheap under $40 and only one of them actually works...well, I do have a Citizen watch that cost more than $40 but it too needs a battery.
