The closest i've seen to something *remotely* stylish is the Silverstone TJ-10 case series. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I wanna see if there are any better options out there.

Obviously I've looked through Lian-Li, Asus, Thermaltake, Enermax, Antec, etc. But I haven't seen one that's just "DAMN I GOTTA GET ONE NOW" cases. It seems like sony makes some pretty awesome cases, especially their newest "home theater" ones! http://www.sonystyle.com/webap...Id=-1&categoryId=30348

I mean that just looks completely stylish! Obviously I would've put a Slot loading DVD burner, but oh well...

I'm not too into Alienware's designs either, but i do commend them for doing something different with relatively clean lines for the PC. I mean I know Taiwanese manufactures had tried with their silly Asus Venti's and the Thermaltake Armors, and coolermaster's stacker, but I mean come on. These guys do not have the slightest clue in how to make something sleek and stylish! I mean look at the Mac Pro's. I still think they're ranked #1 in style, and I'd wish I can purchase just the case!

Falcon Northwest uses a lot of Silverstone cases, and it just seems like Silverstone is probably the most stylish PC case as of right now. I've had a Cooler-Master ATC-210 and i think that's probably the most stylish case that anyone has ever produced on the PC! That made me wanna get it immediately, no matter the cost! http://www.virtual-hideout.net...CoolerMaster%20001.jpg

I had that case with a brushed alluminum Pioneer DVD Burner, with a pioneer slot loading drive underneath, with a 2 drive ebay LCD in front. I Since both HDD and Power LED were Cool Blue, I swapped the HDD LED out with a White LED. That made it look awesome. Anyways, I'm just wondering if they make stylish cases like that anymore? Obviously that case doesn't have the best internal cooling, and my room gets > 80F in the summer, (sometimes up to 95F) and cooling is pretty important.

I also checked out the HP Blackbird, and I think that looks pretty slick, but it's still not quite "sleek" enough.

Anyways, anybody have any ideas? Thanks, and I appreciate your responses!

Yikes, I would def agree, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder because both those cases you linked were ugly as hell to me. I do like simple elegance though, I love my Lian Li and think with some work they can be amazing looking cases.

Hey Fin,

You have to remember that style is subjective. What's stylish and amazing to you may be ugly and poorly designed to another.

That said, I think Antec makes the classiest and most functional cases out there (of course, I'm referring to the P182 series . . . gotta love sound dampening).

I prefer the subtle over the awe-inspiring. Thermaltake also has some snazzy black aluminium mesh cases that look slick, but again, that's my own opinion.

Good luck in your search!

With some of that style your losing usability so if you want a expandable system go with a ATX type of case design.

you know, the last lian li case looks pretty decent... I guess my sense of taste is clean lines. No mesh... No crazy "armor protectors" or something weird like that. I guess I'm thinking in terms of apple, though I do not own any apple products at all! Heck, I don't even have an Ipod! I mean that new Apple LCD monitor with LED lighting is INCREDIBLE. Too bad it's only made for macbooks! They should've made a version for DVI's!

I like the CM Mystique 632S. Probably one of the few who does like the clamshell door idea.

You're not serious, are you?

I agree; that is not a stylish case.

To each his own. I guess that is why it is an opinion. If that is your then thats what it is. Personally I don't like the centurions looks, but thats just me.

You have just convinced me to buy a Silverstone Fortress, I also really like the Lian-Li PC-A20B, but its way too expensive, and I don't like front covers.

Zepper, do you know if they make the Fortress without that Transparent window? I hate those :/

Zerogear,

Please don't saddle me with the burden of your choices... ;-) , but I'm glad it looks good to you as well.

I'm not sure about the window on the Fortress. If there are any options, it should mention them at the link above in the specs section.

Well, it looks like they offer the Fortress in either black or silver and with or w/o the window:

SST-FT01B (black)
SST-FT01S (silver)
SST-FT01B-W (black + window)
SST-FT01S-W (silver + window)

You may find it difficult to locate one w/o window at a decent discount as the online stores stock only which models they think will sell best. These days it's all style over substance (my case is the Silverstone Kublai 3 w/o window) - after all, look at the affirmative action President we have...

Looks like the Egg has both the black and silver w/o window.

I've been looking around for a nice stylish PC case as well. What I find is that most PC cases that are "supposed" to be made to look nice look like a space ship and with all these lights and all, ugly as hell. It doesn't seem like there's much cases out there simple, colored in white, and at the same time carries along with it some class which is what I'm looking for.

Antec made a mini P18x case that is white. It looks fairly nice, but I think its only for mATX

oh yeah, I saw that one. Thought it looked ok as a PC case, just plain pc type look, but still lacking style. Still looks a lot better than most cases out there though.

though i essentially DO like antec's mini p18x series cases, They just feel really cheap... I know they're made out of aluminum, the plastic behind the aluminum kind of ruins it for me...
