Like all the car games I try the cars never flip like crazy when you get in a crash, never blow up, get damaged really bad, etc. A lot of the games never have very realistic crashes. Like head on crashes, etc.

Is there any Nascar game or any other car game that is this realistic where you can flip lots of times in a crash, your car can blow up, catch on fire, get damaged really bad in a head on collusion, etc? Where the crash is different everytime.

I already played GTA 3, GTA Vice City, a lot of Nascar games already like Nascar Revolutions, etc before but none of them really did realistic crashes. Where the crash is different everytime.

Carmageddon original. I mostly like the "in-game repair" feature. Wish my car had that too :D

Carmageddon.

Collin McRae Rally is even more realistic but nobody has ever heard of it and it costs $50. Wheels, tires, suspension, bodywork, turbo, cooling system, transmission, brakes can all get fubar'd.

rallisport challenge 2 on xbox is pretty realistic. you can even lose tires and wheels.

it doesnt have the greatest selection of cars though.

if you dont care about damage, but more about car feel, and track feel, project gotham racing 2 is pretty good.

Collin McRae Rally is the best I have played. I like realistic driving, as opposed to "arcade" style driving. This games seems to do the best job of that.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit hands down. You can do a 1020 into a mountain, then get smashed by a train and skid on your roof for 3 miles and STILL look perfect and drive perfect. It's great.

TOCA Race Driver 2 looks like a good one, though I've only played the demo myself. Supposed to be tons of different types of racing, from rally to touring car, to even semi-truck. You can damage various parts of the car (engine, suspension, tire wear, etc) to varying degrees which effects how your car performs, up to a point where you are forced to quit the race.

It came out a couple weeks ago for the PC and Xbox I believe.

I hear that New TOCA Racer that just came out for Xbox has pretty realistic damage.

The Gran Turismo series is pretty good, unfortunately you need a console to play them. The only non-realistic part about it is crashes/car damage, and since your post seems to highlight that aspect of realism, maybe GT isn't what you're looking for.. as far as handling and such though, it's a pretty good sim that manages to maintain the fun factor.

agreed.

Although, I play GT and GT2 on my PC using epsxe and they work fine. I run the isos off my hard drive for better performance. I even have a controller adapter and playstation controller. I highly reccomend these games for a challenging driving experience, that uses real cars, but the body damage is non-visible if present at all, and the cars don't flip. Still, it is fun to tweak all the settings of your car.

The sequel had the best name ever for a computer game:
Carmageddon 2, Carpocalypse Now

Have it... playing it... love it. (PC version so I can actually apply patches when codemasters releases them)

i don't know would it be accurate to rate level of "realism" by level of "difficulty," but I had this Nissan Simulator game... it has most of the Nissan's car (and only Nissan's from the old skylines up to the R34, but no 350Z) and famous tracks in Japan.

Damn, now that IS a hard game, you really have to brake perfectly and gas at the perfect time in order to exit every single corner, one bad cornering you will be last place and they gave you no chance of catching up... , and in the mean time resist any slight temptation of powersliding aka drifting. It was so hard I uninstalled the game after two runs.
