What is the most marketable major/degree?

I've been reading threads regarding these majors and I'm just interested to see what everybody thinks. Obviously different degrees are more marketable at different times and sometimes a degree doesn't mean jack squat if someone is motivated enough but overall, what do you think is the most marketable degree?

My guess would be nursing

good call

I wish I had got in on it a while ago

I'd have to agree with this. Generally, bio and health related majors are the most stable in terms of finding employment.

Pharmacology
My friend's wife is going to school for it and is an intern at a drug store.
She's already got job offers and is frequently approached by headhunters.
$90k plus right out of school...

Nursing...from a good school (no Herald College, or anything with Business in its name if it's not an MBA program).

Nursing probably for immediate jobs.

There is unlikely to be a labor excess with MD's but the healthcare system is so fucked up physician pay is totally up the in air in the future

Drop out now and learn how to handle a welder. Get several of the in demand certs and never be out of a job again.

I heard the turnover in nursing is terrible due to long hours and high stress, especially for people right out of school.

what kinda skills would you actually need to become a nurse?

To go through the program itself or for the job

both!

I think there are quite a few nurses on ATOT that might be able to give you a better answer but as far as I know there are a few different kinds of nursing programs such as 2 year associates degrees and 4 year degrees that are tied into a full college curriculum so you come out w/ a BS.

I think you dont need to be a genius to do anything healthcare related but you gotta be dedicated to the work since it can be a thankless job with grouchy patients and asshole doctors.
