When my son was in daycare it cost us $1000/month.

Yeah, when my daughter was born 5 years ago it was almost $1300 a month for one infant. We switched daycares to a place that my employer gives a subsidy for. Dropped that down to almost $900 a month. With an infant and a 5 year old in pre-k it would have been over $2100 a month. We save almost $600 a month from my employers discount.

Bleh. That takes a massive hit out of any fun money for a family. Getting kids out is like a $30,000 a year raise. (if you count money in your pocket after taxes).

Camry hybrid, barely, followed by the minivan. I'm sorry miata lovers, there is nothing manly about a miata at all. At least a minivan says you probably have a wife, you're probably (or were) virile, and you have a family. The miata says everything antithetic to this.
