I gotta say WC3 solo games. when the game starts, it's u a random person 1v1 and it's ur micro skill against theirs.
I swear, no matter how often I play I still get a little nervous before a game starts.
 
The first time I played Half-Life was quite an experience.

Nothing since then has come close.

Hopefully Doom 3 will fix that.

Nothing has put me on the edge like Half Life or the expansions. Wow. Play that late at night with lights out and sound turned up a bit...*heh* I remember one night i wa splayin it with the wife watchin TV. She comes up behind and touches my shoulder, I freaked out and just started blastin away thinkin one of those damned head brain suckin things was gonna get me. Scared the hell outta me...She thought it was funny though...

Ready, hows ur skills? I'm still playing by myself against the computer on easy mode 🙂 Not so easy, as I'm still losing. What's your race?

 
Alien vs Predator.
I always played it as a marine.
I remember one of my friends refused to play it 😛
 
Are games scarier with headphones, stereo or surround speakers?
I think Half Life with headphones on was bad, and no lights.
You can't hear anything but the game and it's right in your ears.
 
Ohhh, I forgot about AvP!
Yeah, bein a marine in that game was mega edge of the seat stuff.
More so because I'd end up with a gun and 6 bullets more then anything....Stoopid ammo, stoopid dancin all over aliens.
But yeah, AvP is up there too!!

And on other. The Sims Online. Wow! Tryin to pick up chicks....Woooo....Suspenseful 😉

Ah, the memories. The first part on the PS1. That was one of the scariest games ever. My friend and I were playin' that game on a cold winter night, when we walked thru a hallway, and those dogs jumped out of the window, I think I nearly pi$$ed my pants.
 
War3 can get pretty hardcore when the battle starts to heat up and you are frantically clicking all over the place.
Fun stuff.
 
Most intense experince:

I was playing "They Hunger" mod for half life.

I was in a dark building, with one light above me. For some reason, I looked up at the light.

BAM! it went out.

Then I hear "FREEEEEEEEEESH MEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!" coming out threw my speakers (which were on really loud for effect 😛).

I hit my flashlight and there are like 10 zombies encircling me.

I quickly quit the game. It freaked me out real bad for some reason 😱 😛
 
Return to Castle Wolfenstein in the catacomb levels was pretty good. All those zombieish creatures always coming out of nowhere used to get me pretty good.
 
Online team matches always revved me up. Especially for high rankings, Namely Tribes and an old one, Multiplayer battletech from Kesmai.
 
I actually can't play solo games of RTS games because like you say they are too intense. I find them wearing on me in fact. I remember when I used to play the ladder for C&C Tiberian sun sometimes the stress just made it unenjoyable. I love multiplay games though like 2v2 or 3v3
 
The game that is in my sig. It's 4v4 every sunday afternoon. It can be a little unnerving with 50 people watching the match to see what player chokes, and believe me when it happens you are ridiculed to no end. I can't imagine playing in a pro league final with that pressure with over 250 people watching. Definately the closest thing to playing a professional sport as you can get on a pc. That reminds me we have a match at 6pm est. Anyone want to watch me choke, download the game (its free) and come watch the match in dueling zone. We play Tweaked. :Q
 
Duke 3D back on an old coax network with out 8-bit ISA network cards that we had to solder *constantly*. Man, those things crashed out computers so much. We all only had 1 PCI slot, and my Viper 330 was in that.

Huge, huge fun. Everyday we'd play games, all day long (when we weren't at school). Being in the same room is so much more fun than playing over the internet. You can't hear people scream out curse words when you kill them 😛

 
what are you guys talking about?

The most intense game is of course a 5v5 Counter-Strike Team Clan Match.

It's a team game and when it comes down to very last round of the match and a tied game then it's INTENSE.

But nothing beats when you are the last guy alive on your team and the game is on the line!!! Then there have HLTV on top of that. 🙂
