Those are awesome. I'd love to have one, but they're rare and tend to have temperment problems.
I have 2.
They actualy have a wonderful temperment, but I suppose it varies from breeder ot breeder.

I prefer dead ones.

Dogs FTW!!!

Why must dog lovers crap in cat threads.

I don't go into dog threads and yell "I wish all dogs were dead"

STFU.
Come on. Come onnnn!!!! 😛

No, I'm sick of it. In every cat thread, at LEAST one asshole dog owner makes EXACTLY the same post. EXACTLY. Never happens in dog threads. STOP DOING IT.

thats like asking the sun to stop being so hot
there's always going to be at least one jackass out there.

As the proud owner of 2 siamese cats I can say they are ridiculously intelligent. My family has always owned Siamese cats and they've always been very intelligent.

The 2 we have right now are smart enough to figure out how to open certain doors(as in turning the handle) among other things. They arent as talkative as other cats we've had but definitely loveable and they know whats going on. They catch flys in the house in summertime as well.

Good breed if you know how to raise them.

Intelligence can be measure in so many ways. According to animal planet, there are six breeds that have the highest level of inteligence:

Balinese, Bengal, Colorpointe Shorthair, havan Brown, Javanese, Oriental, Siamese, Sphynx

However, its the combination of the other atributes that determines how "intelligent" a human determines the cat is. I have a bengal, and I can say this cat is like having a puppy. He constantly wants to play, but is also very lovable. He sleeps between my wife and I every night. He knows when it's bed time. He knows where all his toys are, he knows his name (will meow at you when you call his name). i have known a few Orientals and Siamese, and they are definately not as "compatible" with humans as Begals. Our cat will always be in the same room as us, and never hides under beds or in closets, and loves company. however, it is strongly advisable to not allow bengals to be outdoor cats as their instincts will kick in, and it would be very difficult to domesticate them again.

My siamese cat knows how to open screen doors and let herself out. Ny himalyan understands stuff but seems to be not as active but he's got a funny personality. They make a great coupe and a fact to prove siamese cats are smart is that she licks him twice and he gives her a full body wash 🙂

Woah, first post. Welcome to AT.

Yeah, my siamese can open doors as well.

Cat's have a narrower range of intelligence than dogs because dogs have been modified more by breeding over the longer period of time they have been domesticated by humans. Both cats an dogs coudl probably be smarter if there wasn't so much inbreeding in them.

Ragdolls. But, mind you, cat intelligence is limited to playing fetch and them being able to open the door..
