The Hope Diamond. I saw it in person several years ago.

yeah, for something "small" , the hope diamond in the smithsonian @ $250,000,000

big stuff, submarine or aircraft carrier

SR-71 Blackbird while I was at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base a few years ago. Might not be the most expensive in terms of dollars, but it's way up there badassness.

This is hard to answer. It's nothing to see a $225 million aircraft but a car at $500K is quite a treat.

So, without going for obviously expensive but not-so-unusual things like a/c carriers, skyscrapers, etc..... I would have to say...

hmm. one year at the LA auto show they had the only surviving 1906 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, insured at 40 million dollars.

I thought a modern US Aircraft carrier cashed in around 10Billion dollars. I'd go with aircraft carrier or vegas strip. I haven't seen something small and valuable though. I got to play a little on a 100,000 piano.

If we're talking single things, I'd have to go with a B-2 bomber.

Otherwise probably Chicago from above.

Edit: Actually I imagine a space shuttle is more, so whichever shuttle they have at the space museum at Cape Canaveral.

The jewels in Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey.

Larger things: The aircraft carrier Enterprise (NOT the Starship) as it was headed for me in the middle of San Francisco Bay, where I was dead in the water with a damaged fuel line. Someone gave me a tow into the harbor.

The collection of artifacts from Tut et al. that went on tour last year. I've also seen a large collection of Catherine The Great's jewels and other items. Paintings from Rembrant, Picasso, Van Gogh, etc. It's difficult to put a price on some of these things.

The sunrise, on a Free United States of America.

Very expensive in the cost of all the lives, lost fighting for our Freedom./ end thread.

Probably the space shuttle... no idea how much money they are worth but I know its a lot. And the amount they keep spending to maintain the damn things is absurd.

I live Here. Must be quite expensive.

(OK, in one of the apartments that the place was divided into, but that's besides the point... 😉 )

Small things, I've seen a Carrera GT, a McMerc SLR, and a Ford GT40 (same place, but different days, used to work at a track)

My girlfriend

Your girlfriend isn't expensive, only cost me ten dollars.

With the amount of YAGTs you start, you have no business taking a cheap shot at someone else's GF.

Also, given his screen name, the transaction was probably in rupees 🙂

LOL
