Patriots perfect season, lose superbowl. like, DAMN!

I considered that to be the best moment in sports cause the G-men won...

Worst moment had to be when the Red Sox won the world series

5th down

Colorado defeats Missouri with a last second TD on 5th down.

Colorado somehow wins a share of the national championship despite an 11?1?1 record being worse than Georgia Tech's 11-0-1 record (only team without a loss).

Living here in Norcal we have plenty of them in recent memory.

Rob Nen giving up the World Series winning home run in game 7 of the World Series.

Robert Horry hitting the buzzer beater 3 point shot to win it for the Lakers vs Kings in the finals in 03?

For me, it would have to be losing the divisional playoffs to the Colts in 2006. We went 13-3 and our defense was ranked #1. Our defense that year was being compared to the 2000 Ravens defense which is argued to be the best defense ever.

I thought we would at least make it to the sueprbowl that year. We couldn't do anything on offense, and although we didn't allow one Colt touchdown, they beat us 15-6 in a game full of fieldgoals.

When it comes on TV.
When it causes congestion on surface streets and freeways.
When I hear about fans that go on rampages whether their team wins or loses.
Bloated salary of athletes.

2001 Frozen Four championship when my beloved Fighting Sioux lost to universally loathed BC in overtime. Choke on a bucket of baked beans and jump in Baaaahstun Haaaahbah f**kers! :|

Number one would of course be the Seahawks losing the super bowl.

Number two would be the music city miracle. I wasn't a huge fan of either team, but my roommate was the biggest die-hard bills fan I've ever met or will ever meet. It was a sympathy depression.

when I beat my lil bro in 21 in the driveway. We had just installed this sweet UNLV hoop/backboard. It was the glass/see-thru kind, one of the first ones sold like that back in the day.

He got so mad that day that I beat him that he picked up the ball and threw it as hard as he could against the backboard and he broke it. The thing shattered right down the middle.

Its still there to this day, shattered and cracked but glued/bolted together.

good times!

for me, I'd say when the Lakers choked in game 4 of the 2008 NBA Finals. SIGH 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

The saddest moment in all of sports history in your estimation is something that happened 4 days ago? You must have the shortest memory in the world.

Um... I guess the time when somebody got depressed over a game somebody else was playing. That's pretty sad.

I agree.

My most disappointing moment in sports was a ice hockey championship game I was playing. We were up 5-2 with 5 minutes to go. I was in goal. They scored 3 on me in 3 minutes to tie it, and then scored the game winner with 23 seconds to go. It was the most disappointing moment in sports for me. Especially considering I had won 21 division championships in 10 years.

Game 7 Stanley Cup Finals Canucks vs Rangers, Canucks lose after coming very close. Team Captain Trevor Linden visibly dejected. Flash forward to the final Canucks Regular Season Game of the Season that has just passed. Everyone knew it was Lindens last NHL Game, even though it was not announced.

When you turn on the TV to watch a show you like, only to find out it has been preempted some pointless sporting event.

If you mean Golf or Pro Wrestling, I agree!

Every time my Chargers run into the Patriots. But we take it out on the Colts so I guess it all evens out in the end.
