Will 700mhz P3 Coppermine, 192MB RAM, be enough to watch DVDs on a PC with software decoding...? My dad wants to watch movies on his computer and I'm wondering if I need to get him a new 'puter or just plug in a DVD ROM drive. Thanks!!

Yep, the 700mhz P3 should do nicely.

I found that pretty much anything over 500mhz and you
don't have to worry about software encoding as much.

Hopefully you have a halfway decent video card as well.

Some DVD player software, such as PowerDVD, have an option to "enable hardware acceleration".
