I just got a new 60gig hard-drive. I fdisked it and formatted it. Everything went fine, the system saw it as 60gigs. But, when I boot up my pc into w2k, it does not show up as 60gigs, much much less than that. something like 20-30 gigs. Any ideas???? Could it be that windows or even the FAT32 will not recognize that much space??

Win2K or XP won't let you format a partition over 32G (think that's the number) with FAT32 because it sucks, use NTFS and it should be fine.

And I believe NT can have a single partition be around 16 Exabytes.
