In some things bigger is surely better. :D (But learn how to use it as well)
I can't say that this applies to monitors if you ask me.

but what you are saying has no relvence to this thread as the base 17" monitor that dell is trying to pawn off on goot is unlikely to be anywhere near the quality of your nokia 447xpro. why are you having so much trouble understanding that?

I don't argue with goot, and the topic specifically mentions "what is the max resolution that a 17'' crt monitor can display.". So I offer my opinion on a better 17'' monitor , because a 17'' monitor is what he is reffering to".Maybe you are off topic, mentioning a 19'' or 21''.
Anyway this is becoming boring, you have your opinion and I have mine. It's just simple as that.

sure it is a matter of opinion, that is why i prefaced mine with "personally, i would..." unfortunately, it wasn't as simple as you had to get all defensive about your own setup and be a jackass for a full day before getting bored with yourself. :disgust:

Actually you were the one that made a remark on what I said, just to show eventually how "BIG" monitor, you have.
I was answering your "bright" questions. That was my mistake, that I followed your stupidity.
Who's the jackass moron?? :p

actually i made my remark on what you said because it was incorrect. also, i had no intention of specifying anything about my own hardware. you were the one who told me how big my monitor is, and you were wrong on that too so i corrected you again. i am sorry though, i had no intention of egging on any inferiority complex by brining up larger monitors than the one you have. i was simply trying to help goot make the most informed decision he can, i see no reason why you should be taking this all so personally.

Ok I'll leave this one die. This is getting way too silly...
I didn't try to persuade you that a 17'' monitor is better than yours. I just tried to state that a smaller monitor has its advantages too. That is why I said that is a matter of personal taste.
