PAWLING, N.Y. (AP) -- State police say a 23-year-old man clocked driving at more than 130 mph on an upstate New York road is facing multiple traffic charges.
Police say a trooper spotted Michael DiBernardino's 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer doing 134 mph in a 55-mph zone Tuesday afternoon in the Dutchess County town of Pawling, near the Connecticut border 65 miles north of New York City.
Authorities say he passed several vehicles on a two-lane stretch of state Route 22 before the trooper ended the chase when DiBernardino pulled onto a side road.
He was later found in the driveway of his nearby home and arrested.
Jail officials say DiBernardino was released after posting bail.
There was no telephone listed for DiBernardino and authorities didn't know Wednesday if he has a lawyer.

Eh, if you've ever driven a Lancer 8 or 9, those are very, very quick cars. 4.56-4.7s to 60 if you abuse the clutch in a 5500rpm AWD launch and they'll lap a track as quickly as many sports cars and entry level supercars.
These cars have the highest insurance rates in America (along with the WRX Sti) for a reason.

You talking about a Neon SRT4? Those looked like tons of pumped-up fun, but were measurably cruder and more cobbled together than either an STI or an Evo, overall.

Up until a month ago, I forgot Mitsubishi still made cars. Damn coworker brought up the fact that her boyfriend bought a Lancer, and now I see it everywhere.

I'm sure the STI is cheaper to insure when you compare base coverage to fully comprehensive coverage on a Rolls Royce Phantom.
Also, I was not aware Canada was annexed into these United States of America recently.
