Are you for real? When the judge looked at that ticket he must of slapped the officer for it. A judge isn't going to give anybody a traffic record for 1 mph. Hell, I think there is a 1-3 mph discrepancy between the car and radar gun anyway.

Edit: Ah you just said pulled over. Well, sad part is they can do that. If they gave a ticket for it, it will never stick in court.

64 in a 35 zone. I told the judge I was feeling very angsty that night about a girl (I was a teenager and, well, I was) and my mom told him that usually I was the one getting on her case if she was speeding, so the judge dropped the ticked down from $115 to $50, minus credit for what I payed to do Traffic School and keep the 3 points off my license. I was rather happy.

That's the only ticket I've ever received aside from a total BS ticket I got in front of my High School for Failure to Yeild to a Pedestrian. (I was slowing down to a stop and the guy stopped moving and waved me on) I'm pretty sure the cop thought I was smoking a joint or something and was pissed that it was just Cheetos so he gave me the BS ticket to cover his ass. (He'd been posted there after Columbine and didn't like kids to begin with) Fortunately I got a good judge that time around as well, who told me if I could avoid any other vehicular violation for the next year the ticket would never be applied. I guess having multiple people testify to the fact that I drive like an old woman helps. ;)

74 in a 55. That's pretty common around here unless they're doing a crackdown where they get ultra-tough for a little bit. You can get away with 10-14 over on most highways and be safe as long as you're not driving erraticly or unsafely. As long as you're just cruising along in the right lane the staties don't even blink at 68 or 69 mph, I've busted through dozens of speed traps at that speed and never been nailed. When you get past 70 you're in trouble though and if you're doing something screwy like tailgating, passing on the right, weaving through lanes or anything else that catches their eye they'll get you for 5mph over.

57 in a 45 on a non-busy street

Did not think I would get a ticket due to my clean record, but the cop was an ass and trying to increase revenue to the hellhole which is downtown Durham. Had I known he was going to be giving me the ticket I would have been a total ass instead of playing the part of do gooder citizen

Prayer for judgement 100 bucks in courtcost (Thanks Ahole cop)

8 over. I was doing 78 in a 70 through Oklahoma. The cop liked my car, though, so we sat and talked a while. Thought he was going to let me go, but no such luck.

Still no results only? I haven't gotten a ticket yet (knock on wood), though I've only been driving for like 7 months.

I got pulled over for doing 80 in a 65. And I wouldn't have had a problem with that, since I was speeding, but the cop told me that as long as I keep it under 80 I shouldn't ever be pulled over. So, basically, he pulled me over for going 1 mile over the threshold. Bah.

Got pulled over and a written warning for doing 38 in a 35, and that was going down a hill.
Not a ticket, but the most ridiculous traffic stop.

Ofcourse the officer was a woman.

I speed like a maniac all the time, but I haven't been pulled over in the 7 years I've been driving. Smokey the Bear can't catch me in his traps!

My attitude toward speeding is terrible...I figure I haven't gotten pulled over yet, so I'll just speed until I do.

Where's the -5mph?

An idiot highway patrol ticketed us going 60mph in a 65mph zone. Before in SoCal, there would be different sections of the same freeway with different speedzone. Some parts are 65mph and some are 55mph. We fought the ticket and proved that we were still in the 65mph zone when we were doing 60mph.

It's probably been 10 years since I've gotten a speeding ticket and I don't remember how fast they were for, so I voted 10-15. Any time I got a ticket for speeding was always for the little stuff. I guess that makes up for the ones I really should have gotten but didn't...passing a 55mph Sheriff at 120 :Q and getting "radared at 49 but still accelerating" in a 30mph (main road at 2AM) zone. I don't speed much anymore. ;)

I was riding with a friend who got ticketed for 70 in a 65...he kind of desereved that one though. PO was leading a pack at 65 and my friend passed just for smart-ass value. I told him it was a bad idea before he did it. :)
