What is the loudest sound you ever slept thru?

I don't know, because i'm a light sleeper. I need dead quietness to fall asleep and stay asleep.

I've fallen asleep at arena concerts. I can pretty much sleep anywhere, any time, and on any surface. It's what I'm best at, but it doesn't impress on resumes as much as it should.

Seriously...I slept fairly well in combat...and had no problem napping during lunch on construction jobs.

When I was in the military I lived on an air station with a test field not 100 yards away. I routinely slept through the noise of a jet engin whirling away... in hind sight though, it was pretty loud.

Truth be told, when I was in the military I was almost always exausted and could sleep at the drop of a hat anywhere, any time. Now...? I like some white noise, a fan or youtibe vid playing but obtrusive noise like a dog barking or car alarm would keep me up.

When I was in college I lived in a dormatory and slept through a building-wide fire alarm. I only woke up when people were coming back in and my roommate turned on the lights.

That reminds me... for a year in college I lived about 10 feet from a fire station (in Boston). Believe it or not I got used to it. Now I'm incredibly sensitive to noise which kinda sucks, so I have to have rain sounds on when I sleep.

way back in the day I lived in a trailer court. I am a light sleeper so I always had a fan going. I apparently slept thru my neighbors boyfriend going nuts and holding her at knife point and a stand off with the police one night. She was all like "I was at the window screaming for you to come save me". lol.

Hmm first thing that comes to mind is HVAC guys installing an air conditioner in my house. I was working night shift so I got home at 7am, and they were scheduled to come at 8am. They showed up and prepped and I told them I was on night shift so heading to bed, but to do whatever they need to do and not worry too much, just that I won't be around if they need me for anything. I went to bed and I remember hearing a concrete drill going pretty much under my room to make the hole through the brick for the freon line going outside and also recall hearing some pipes and cables being tugged through the holes that I also heard them drill in the joists, and don't really remember anything after that. Woke up around 3-4pm and went to check out their work as they were gone for break. They showed back up to finalize while I got the automation stuff working so they can test fire the unit.

I'll easily sleep through road construction or snow removal too. It's funny to wake up to find half your street is dug up. lol.

A murderer who also happens to be a machinist could probably build a gun in my room while I sleep and shoot me with it.

Mil, slept ~1/2 mile from F16 airstrip, didn't notice after a few hours of afterburner takeoffs (jackasses). Also conveniently located 1/4th mile from the firing range. Stopped noticing that after a week or so (M4 qualifiers/training basically every working day nonstop). Scared the shit out of our movers though.

Thunderstorms with heavy lightning and thunder. I always hear from people around me that there was a heavy thunderstorm. I sleep through it like a baby.
When thinking of past events : Neighbours jumping around and fighting at night, screaming and yelling make we wake up.
