What is the limit of Palomino 1 ghz MP processors

I recieved a pair of 1.0 ghz MP processors (with some crappy stock H/S).

WHat is the highest these processors can O/C (assuming excessive heat isn;t a problem)?

Is the best way to OC them FSB or try to unlock them and adjust the multiplier?

Has anyone had any success with OC old Palominos?

THanks

These are most likely T'birds, not pally's. Try for 1.33 or 1.4 at the most. Only the Godlike AXIA did any more.

The MP could usually get to 1.3-1.5Ghz with good cooling and some extra voltage.

However, they are pretty slow these days.

Nope. If they are Athlon MPs, they are Palomino. There were no AthlonMP T-Birds. As a matter of fact, the T-Bird is incompatible with the 760MPX in SMP mode. It will, however, work in the 760MP.

To answer the original question, my MP 1.2s will hit 1.4GHz @ 1.85V with HHC-01 Heat Pipe heat sinks (Massive copper sinks with good fans). 1.4 would be a good overclock, any higher is wishful thinking (probably).

You are correct.
