Don't have a credit card, only a debit card. Because I buy stuff with real money rather than imaginary money.
Last charge was ~$34 of groceries.

Guess you are just losing out on all of these free points/cashback dollars/miles/etc which can be alot depending on your spending habits...if you pay your balance in full each month, you are coming out ahead....

Or the legal protections and purchase protections (eg: period of accidental damage coverage, free extended warranty, etc...) that come from using a credit card.

Don't you feel sorry for the people at Kohl's you see every so often paying full price for things?

That would have been me probably, but my wife showed me the way.

Not really. If they made any effort, like Google Kohls coupons or Kohls deals or something along those lines. I'm ashamed to admit it but I know a few people who don't search for the best deal or ask me, they pay retail because of the convenience. I keep preaching telling them it doesn't require hours of coupon clipping, just a little research and careful planning.

Normally I shun store credit cards but Kohl's cc is actually pretty decent with their frequent sales, stacking coupons, free shipping coupons and Kohl's cash = pretty good deals. My wife's PJ's are normally $29.99 and I paid about $8 along with some socks (better than used socks)

Crossing my fingers the PJ's I ordered for my wife are the right size, if they aren't their returns are quick and painless.

ehh, probably $200 from the woman going to the grocery store, or $15 from going out for lunch.

So the cash back I received last month in the amount of $581 ($481 from 2% Citi and $100 from 5% American Express) was imaginary money? :D

Cash back credit cards are GREAT if you have the discipline (pay on time and not spend foolishly) to use them for your benefit. Plus it is good for your credit score too (upper 700s and low 800s here)

Still not sure how their cashiers keep a straight face when they tell you that you saved a gazillion dollars when checking out...

I bought 4 t shirts using the stacked coupon codes that ended up around $20 and she said I saved $75....
