<< Ryan Adams - Gold >>

How do you like it, Rob? I thought I'd like this album alot more based off of how much I like New York and Firecracker, but I find the rest of the album not as good...

I still buy about 5 a month and after 17 years of buying own well over 1,000.

Some recent ones:
Heather Nova - "South" (sweet, but not quite as good as Oyster or Siren)
Grant-Lee Buffalo - "Mighty Joe Moon" (nice folk & rock)
Grant-Lee Phillips - "Mobilize" (more tasty folk & rock from GLB frontman)
Elvis Costello - "Brutal Youth" (reissue of classic, with demos CD)
Concrete Blonde - "Group Therapy" (disappointing!)
Leonard Cohen - "Ten New Songs" (good stuff, not all classic but keeps the mood through all 10)

I'm obviously into the singer-songwriters :)

<< Jack Johnson -- Brushfire Fairytales. It is excellent. >>

Nice choice. Not many people around here know about him. But I know someone who personally knows him (as in hangs out with him), that goes to school here.

No idea who those are, but Tracy Chapman does some very powerful songs that are a pleasure to listen to.

Pink Martini - Sympathique <--- Awesome jazz/latin CD!
E.S. Posthumus - Unearthed <--- Not bad, a mix of Enigma and Delerium, with some Deep Forest thrown in for good measure
