I tried to add 16GB and 32GB to the poll options (This for Optane cache), but whm1974 voted before I could get the changes saved.

(If you do use one of those Optane capacities with HDD please add a response to the thread)

How many people are actually using 16/32 Optane cache anyway?

Possibly not many, but maybe this will change with 32GB Optane M15 (which I think will have a faster write than 32GB Optane M10)? This especially if Intel adds the ability to cache Optane to RAID-5 now that Seagate has released new (boosted URE spec) Barracuda 3.5" drives?

Personally I wither use a larger PCIe x4 SSD for the OS/Applications/swap drive instead of dealing with Optane and RAID-5.

My gaming desktop has a 250GB and 512GB. My laptop has a 1TB, but was just 128GB until a few months ago. My work machines of course are a revolving door but the three main ones all have at least 2TB each spread across 2-3 drives, plus whatever drives are being tested. I still use mechanical drives (3 and 4TB) in RAID to store my backups and photo archives.

Just 128GB for me. Added it a few years ago. Still using HDD for storage and SSD for OS only.

I ended up with a 1tb Samsung 860 Evo as my primary drive. Usually use smaller for OS cuz storage is still on HDD's, but oh well. Had a 275 mx300 that worked fine, still does.
