what is the height, weight, width and depth of a retail dvd

Unfortunately I am not at home so i can't just grab a dvd to check and I have searched the forums and google and there was no help there. I am curious as to what is the height, width, depth and weight of a retail single disc dvd (i.e. disc, plastic shell, paper cover).

Not really sure, but I know they vary. There's the hard plastic cases; then there's the flimsy cardboard ones; then there's thicker ones... so there isn't one answer. I know that when I line my DVD's up, some of them are different by 1/2 inch on one dimension or another.

edit: just googled a dimension of 7 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches by 1/2 inch. That's probably good for estimating with anyway.

apparently the google skills are strong with that one. I kept trying to use dvd dimensions and stuff like height and weight of dvd's and got nothing.

the reason i ask is because I am selling a bunch of my old dvd's so i want to know what size mailers to order. Also so i can figure approximate price of shipping.
