Its the equivalent of being an Internet God. You have to know everything about the technology.

It's widely considered the equivalent of a PHD exam. Highly technical. Highly detailed.

I forget the numbers, but I think there's only several hundred of them in the world.

Their salaries are in the six figures and are recession proof. They're the very last ones in any company to get fired as they are invaluable.

The test has a 97%(?) failure rate. Many take the test MANY, MANY times and still fail.

Even if you pass, you have to pass the test every 4 years to stay updated.

One hell of an exam. Those who pass it though are guaranteed salaries higher than doctors...........Rightfully so, as it's much more difficult than the MCAT and Bar Exam.

I heard about this test from my uncle.. he says it's hell. :Q

Took the MCAT 3 times...yes it was hell.

But from what I've heard from residents, it is nothing compared to the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Steps I, II, and III.

It's supposed to kick the MCAT's ass and it'2 twice as long (8 hrs, 2 days). Step I is supposed to be the hardest of the three.

Bifbacon should know all about these wonderful exams!

The people that I know who are CCIE certified are some of the smartest people I have ever met.

In the tech world, they are HIGHLY respected, like a Los Alamos Physicist walking into the room.

1. CCIE <--I know people who have tried and tried and still have not passed and these guys are really smart. This is one of those test where you can study, but you just really need to know your stuff.

2. MCAT <--I know lots of people that has taken this and passed, but most have failed the first time.

3. BAR <--This test is probably the easiest of the 3 you just need to study. Look in your local phone and see how many lawyers there are

you don't pass or fail the MCAT. you get a score from 0-43.

a score of 30 is considered a score that will get you accepted into medical school.

I took a practice MCAT and it was horrible. Of course, I never took college physics and biology and organic chemistry were never my strong suits. :(

GRE for sure

The GRE is much easier than the LSAT. I imagine there are much tougher tests than either one (MCAT? I dunno . . . ).

Have you taken the GRE?

Is 33 a good MCAT score or jus tabove average?..............

My friend recently got accepted to Columbia Medical in NYC after being wait-listed and lobbying hard with the Dean to let him in.

Just took an LSAT Practice test. Was hard, but not as hard as I imagined (not reflective of my score, though).

I imagine the MCAT is tough...or any BAR exam...

LMAO, Paramedic911. :D Good one!

I would have to say CA Bar. Why? Well, other exams involve practical right or wrong answers. You either know the material or you don't. On the other hand, the bar exam consists of theoretical and multiple choice questions. You can pass the theory but fail the multiple choice or vice-versa. The multiple choice questions are difficult because they give you several possible answers that all seem too confusing or similar the way they are worded. They're too confusing because each options are one line theoretical statements. The theorical section can be difficult because it depends upon your ability to articulate yourself and support your thesis. It's extremely subjective, and subjectivity isn't always easy to judge.

The regular GRE wasn't bad, but the Computer Science GRE was significantly less fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Who wants to practice law anyways?

There are toooooooooo many lawyers earning zilch. The job and hours stink. Morals are off kilter.

The reputation is lacking for all except for Jewish mothers who are still thinking of the reputation lawyers had 30 years ago.

I mean seriously, I wouldn't want even my worst enemy to practice law......especially my enemy! LOL!

Of all my friends who went to law school, only 1 person is practicing law after 5 years. One! :Q
