What is the Gold Standard for the older ATI control panel

I have an ATI X800 XT PE AGP card and want to know which is the best version of the older non-Catalyst Control Center control panels for ATI cards. I don't want the .Net install that is required for CCC and my card is too old to use a lot of the features that the newer CCC provide.

I use the 6.12s from ngohq.com
Edit: Hmm, those don't seem to be available any more. The oldest they show is 7.1. Look for the driver packages that say "CP" rather than "CCC". 7.12 is available.
