What is THE GAME to be playing right now? And why?

I'm looking for the game that EVERYONE is playing, and everyone that isn't SHOULD be playing! And why?

I'm just getting bored of the same ol' same ol'.

Also how long until the next great game comes out.

For multiplayer, everyone I know is still raving about BF1942 and its various mods (Desert Combat probably being the most popular.) I realize it's been out awhile, but it's quickly gaining Counterstrike-esque popularity from what I can tell. Too bad it crashes on my system constantly.

I hate the public servers for DC and 1942...I guess I should have tried finding one that is a little bit more "homely" where everyone just doesn't do their own thing.


No one wants to give you a lift to help out, people just barge into places alone (hey! why not go with a group of tanks rather than just one?!?!) It was rather gay when I played it. I didn't like the players attitudes at all.

I have yet to find a pc game since Max Payne that could keep my interest for any amount of time.

CS should be damned to hell. The game is old as hell, hacked to hell and I can't find one thing CS has that SoF II Infiltration doesn't have. Yet SoF II has so much more.

generals? it's an rts. my friends and i enjoy it more than starcraft and warcraft. it has great eye candy though not the balancing that sc and wc3 offer.

Only reason I retain fond memorys of DAOC at this time is for the $400+ it put into my pocket after I sold my 2 accounts.

They're both silly good, and are making me miss my PS2 (it's been sent out for repairs) less.

Isn't KOTOR coming out for PC later one? I think there was an exclusive release for XBox but later on for the PC.

Kotor for PC is supposed to come out "Fall 2003" whenever that will be, dont know of a more specific date.
