There was also a big deal about 10-11 years ago when a bunch of georgetown medical students tricked poor black mothers into naming their kids 'authentic african names' that were really medical terms. The two I remeber were Placenta and Gonorrea (sp?). I wonder if I can still find one of the news articles...

It must have happened before too though since my buddy at the time knew a Placenta who was our age...

funniest i kno of? my sisters friend first name is Reina, and her boyfriends last name is Reyna. If they got married, Reina Reyna. I have another friend and his dads name is Tom Tomkins.
