What is the FREAKIN' problem??

Of all the crazy things... I can't get IE 5.5 to install Flash??

I goto the flash site and do the download stuff and nothing ever happens.

I got the same with Quicktime, but I installed it but it doesn't work when I try to watch streaming media.

Amish, I had the EXACT same problem. I tried reinstalling shockwave (which inluded flash) but for all intents and purposes, my PC thought it was already installed. But flash of any sort didn't play.

Unfortunatly, it took a reformat to fix it. I reinstalled IE 5.5 after the format, and those damn ads smack in the middle of the articles on ZDNet came back.

Tools>Internet Options>Settings(General Tab)>View Objects and delete anything Flash or Shockwave related. Try again.

Nothing that I can tell is related to Shockwave
