What is the format for USPS Express tracking numbers?

I ordered a package from Overstock.com a week and a half ago and they took forever to ship it. I did the online chat and and email with them and they FINALLY shipped my package today. It is coming via USPS, but the tracking number looks funky:

X4777****

Did Overstock feel sorry for me and ship my package Express mail (maybe that's what the X is for) or do they just not know how to enter in tracking numbers on their website?

Put the number into google, google knows all tracking numbers.

I got an xbox 360 from overstock last week, it was shipped usps and the track# was like this 1234 1234 1234 1234 1234 12

Yeah, that's the normal format for USPS shipments that I get (including those from Overstock). I already tried putting the information in Google and it gives nothing. Putting it in USPS.com gives this:

Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site.
