What is the fastest Slot 1 or socket 370 cpu the Intel 440LX chipset will support

Im thinking about upgrating a computer with a mobo using this chipset.

any help would we great.

Well, unless you are getting it free, and don't have any money what so ever, I'd stay away from LX chipset motherboards. They only officially support a 66mhz FSB. That would mean a Pentium II 333 would be the highest. If I remember right some can support celeron processors (if the bios supports it). Check your mobo's manufacturer for the latest bios.

The LX chipset supports a 66MHz FSB only....so that means either a Pentium II 333MHz, or a PPGA Celeron 533MHz so long as you have a BIOS update that handles Celeron processors.
