This is incorrect. The SG05 uses SFX standard PSU's, not ATX standard. This is the highest rated SFX I believe - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...one-_-17256063 . At 450W, that will open the door for better cards, but as others have mentioned, the CPU is very weak and won't push some of the better cards. Overclocking will alleviate some of the bottleneck if you're up for it, otherwise, grab a different CPU as well.Infraction Jack
1) I believe the PSU you have in your case is a standart size model, so you can easy buy another and it ll fit into your pc case without any issues.
2) Your Athlon II x4 640 cpu (3.0ghz) can probably OC to around 3.7ghz or so.
You need a new PSU for this.
3) you can probably buy something like a 6850 and throw in there, for pretty cheap and get ALOT more performance.
My suggestion to you:
spend 24$ on a new PSU (575watt psu)

spend 129$ on a 6850: (Only 8.5" long, your case can take like 9.1")

^ with above, you can OC your CPU, and have performance ~geforce 460 or so.
Should be enough to play modern day games.

It's deceivingly small, the pictures really hide it.Thats why I dont like the too small cases, need to atleast have one with ATX PSU.
And good catch, I just looked at case and though, yep ATX, when it wasnt.
Well, whoever those people are they're wrong. Both AMD and NVIDIA have some great cards and some crappy cards - you have to look at the individual card to make a comparison and come to an accurate conclusion. To use an analogy - it's like saying Chevy makes better cars. Have they made some awesome cars over the years? Yes. Have they made some really crappy ones? Yes. Therefore, does buying a Chevy mean you're automatically going to get an awesome car? No.I play mostly Skyrim and League of Legends currently. I am into mostly RPG's and MOba style games. People tell me that Nvidia make the better video cards so that is why I asked about it.

As far as cards go, is there any specific reason you want a NVIDIA card? What games are you playing right now that you would like to run at 1080P?
I'm almost sure your 300w psu isn't actually a 300w psu, since these more obscure power supply manufacturers usually advertise the power taken from the wall, not what is actually being fed to your computer after being processed, so your psu is more likely a 200~230w part.
Actually, if you guys took a minute to look around, you'd find what I did: there is a photo of the PSU sticker in the lineup on newegg. Deceptively powerful little unit, with two 12V rails, first supports 16A and the second 14A. I'd say this thing can actually output 300W on the 12V rails, making it suitable for at least a solid mid-range card (GTX 460 from nVidia or 6850 from AMD). Either will be a huge improvement from your current card.
