Soundblaster's audigy 1394 and the audigy platinum retail besides the software and the thing that goes into the 5.25 bay. What I am asking for is, is there any "sound" different, is the price worth it?

There is no difference in sound quality, as the entire Audigy line uses the same hardware. The only difference is the Platinum/Platinum EX models, which feature an additional box.

If you believe that the additional inputs, outputs, and additional firewire port and a remote control make a difference to you, then you might want to purchase the Platinum versions. If not, then go with the standard Audigy.
