I just got a ASUS A7V motherboard which came with the KT266 chipset. I just want to know what is the different between the KT266 and KT266A chipset. Is it a lot worst than the KT266 chipset. Thanks
They fixed the memory controller in the northbridge...deeper pipelines, optimized timings, etc. It translates into a significant increase in system performance varying from different applications from ~10%-25%.
I am sorry about the miscommunication. I meant is the KT266 worst than the KT266A. That is supposed to be the question. Anyway, I guess I should have gone with the KT266A chipset
