revison...their way of showing you a "newer" or updated version of the model. You will also notice the month by the revision numbers to indicate the month it was manufactured.

When they first come out with this model it had severe backlight and dead pixel issues (still has those issues but not as frequent). With each revision the frequency of
"bad" monitors has subsided.
