What is the difference between WD2500JB and WD2500PB?

I see these drives on newegg. They are similarly priced, but I have no idea what the difference is between the two. Thanks.

Just guessing based on no real knowledge really at all I think the JB is the 8MB cache and the PB is the *quiet* 8MB cache. DOn't quote me on any of this as I really don't know and refuse to accept responsiblity for anything that happens if your base your decision on my qwerky guess work. :Q

Correct, the PB is quiet and the JB is not other than that I am fairly certian there is no difference.

WD2500PB has Features: Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) technology, Shock Guard.

If the prices are similar definately get the PB. The JBs tend to howl after a while.

does liquid bearing last longer that ball bearing?

Fluid bearings are quiter since theirs fluid inside. Sometimes after awhile the grease in normal bearings wear out. Then you may get a whiny bearing. They should last longer since not much metal on metal.
