What is the difference between separating bathrooms based on gender...

You are really hung up on this bathroom thing. And I believe you should have posted this in the previous bathroom thread.

Despite that, separating bathrooms based on something not easily identifiable is rather pointless. Anyone can claim to be any sexual preference and unless we start a "Scarlet Letter" campaign, you won't know, and even then can't be 100% sure. Quick, prove to me you're not a homosexual; you can't.

Also, bathrooms being separated purely on sexual preference runs into logistical problems. Both would require urinals and toilets to accommodate men and women. Both would suffer from the "problems" of a single bathroom and lawsuits based on that. And third, the only people who care about gays in their bathrooms are morons who believe every gay person wants to look at their tiny, insecure penis.

Those would be the practical problems.

This points out the non-practical problem. Namely that gay people would pitch a fit, and like women, have the activists to back it up.

What you are saying is really no different that telling a woman that the only people who care about having men in the ladies bathroom are people who believe every man wants to look at their dried-up crusty vagina. But somehow I don't think saying that would go over anywhere near as well.

You don't need urinals to accommodate men. Last time I checked, a standard toilet works just as well for men as it does for women.

Requiring a company to make 2 seperate restrooms with all the extra plumbing work and materials that go into that is also wasteful by your measure. Let's just lump them all together I say. If gay dudes have the right to piss next to me then I have the right to piss next to girls. Lets stop wasting resources on building separate rooms.

Transgender people have a mental illness as far as I am concerned. Same goes for Sex Change. People should learn to accept what they are and be comfortable with what God Gave them or how they were born. I am OK with 2 bathrooms for male and female along with 99% of other people. If you feel uptight use a stall.

How do you know if someone is gay or not?

Just dont have sex in the bathroom.

In St Louis, MO they have had problems like in bathrooms in parks because that was a place where all the gay guys went to hook up with their pals. Maybe what we really need are some gay parks or venues where it is OK for Gays to hang out. That way Gays have somewhere to go and straights would know it is a Gay Area. I figure if you can have a park for dogs, why not Gays?

He doesn't have a fetish for bathrooms, but rather he is afraid that a gay men will look at his dick rather than minding their own business.

He also seems to be rather paranoid of gay men hitting on him.

It's like catching the zombie: if a gay man hits on you it turns you gay.

Well, being gay isn't always obvious. Whereas when you're peeing, the fact that you have a penis is a bit hard to hide.

Also, there are a lot more women than there are homosexuals and transgenders.

That mental illness is society. A society that creates two genders, when there's really only one human race and a continuum (though bi-modal) of sexes. Gender is a fairy story we make-believe to justify the subjugation of one modality of sex.

Lol no

babies are born boy or girl yes

Most babies are born into a bi-modal pattern across sex (most are XX or XY properly expressed)

Some people are inter-sex; different chromosomes, XY expressed as an XX. etc.

but GENDER, "woman" "Man" and all that it is to be "womanly" and "manly" is just a reflection of "how we do things around here"

Different countries express what it is to be womanly or manly differently: this is gender.

Our society recognizes two genders; the ancient greek society recognized three genders. Gender, gender roles, what it 'is' to be a gender: all stuff that is a fairy story we make-believe to justify the subjugation of one modality of sex.

Now you know!
