what is the difference between a CUSL2 and a CUSL2-C?

Partially ripped from Sunny129:

CUSL2 (i815E)
onboard video: yes
onboard audio: you must ask for it or you probably wont get one w/ onboard sound
AGP Pro slot: yes
ata100: yes

CUSL2-C (i815EP)
celeron support: no
onboard video: no
onboard audio: you must ask for it or you probably wont get one w/ onboard sound, but you can get it since its not part of the i752
AGP Pro slot: maybe...i heard from someone in the forums that they advertise the CUSL2-C w/ an AGP Pro slot, but when he got his mobo, it only had the standard AGP slot
ata100: maybe...this is also something that they advertise with the CUSL2-C since ata100 is part supported by the i815EP chipset, but i've heard of people who got their C's and with only ata66 support...go figure
CNR: 1 less than the CUSL-2

Sorry....just want to make some corrections:

CUSL2-C (i815EP)
celeron support: no PPGA, yes for FC-PGA (533A and above)
onboard video: no
onboard audio: you must ask for it or you probably wont get one w/ onboard sound, but you can get it since its not part of the i752
AGP Pro slot: no, normal universal AGP4X slot only.
ata100: yes
CNR: 1 less than the CUSL-2

I wanted to add a Minor difference, the -C board doesn't have the pin connector for the front USB ports on the Ipanel, they don't tell you that anywhere!!!!!!!!!!

CUSL2-C (i815EP)
celeron support: no PPGA, yes for FC-PGA (533A and above)

Is this true for the i815E chip as well?

It has nothing to do with the chipset, but simply whether or not the motherboard manufacturer chooses to implement it. In the case of the CUSL2, support for PPGA processors exists. On the CUSL2-C, support for PPGA processors does not exist.

hey Andy, thanks for making those corrections. if i had known someone was going to be using my information from a past thread, i would have corrected it b4 someone quoted me😉
