What is the difference between 45 and 46 decibels??

I am looking at buying an SK6 and HS from 2cooltek. I want good cooling, and i have 2 options:

YS Tech 60mm fan 40.1 cfm 46dba http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/34/264.htm?8


Will the noise difference be significant? How about cooling ability??

I mean will i be able to notice the difference. Is the decible scale based on powers or logarithms or something? Is 446dba a lot louder than 45 or what??

Hearing is logarithmic. The smallest change in sound level that the ear can detect is plus or minus 3db or a doubling or halving in power.

In other words you wouldn't hear a thing...buy which ever one you want most although ~45 db does seem a bit much, anything lower?

Sunon Vapobearing 60mm fan with 23.5 cfm airflow at 33.5dba.


But, i dont want to sacrifice too much performance either..
