What is the current T-bird 1G from newegg and TCWO? AXIA? Week #?

I would like to know what kind of AMD 1G (200 and/or 266) from newegg.com and TCWO(I heard that both have good services.); If you recently got your order from these two sites, please let me know:

Is it AXIA with Y class? which week of T-bird they are selling now?

Many Thanks. 🙂

I got a 1G AXIA 2 weeks ago from newegg. Forgot which week it was. I haven't checked the L1/L2 bridges, but somehow, I can't adjust the multipliers.

I'm expecting a 1.2G from TCWO next week. We'll see what they have in store for me 🙂

I got a 1GHz 266 OEM chip from NewEgg which was delivered May 15th. It's an AXIA 9 Week 15.

Why does it matter whether it's an AVIA or AXIA, B or C, or what week # it is?

I'm ordering one from newegg right now.

Someone tell me which numbers on the core represent the week number. I have a 1.33, what is the best week # for this cpu in terms of overclockability?

I PM'd jonnyGURU about the cores on the 1 GHz at TCWO and he's going to get back with me tomorrow. I'll post what he tells me.

As far as good service, I'm not going with newegg because the CPUs only have a 7 day warranty and a 15% restocking fee for returns good or bad. I really don't think that's good service. 🙁

If TCWO can't hook me up, I'll go with Compuwiz1. He HAS guaranteed overclockable units and a 15 day warranty.

Newegg is very good, at least I like them. I got a 1g 200fsb axia core from them back in april.. hit 1.4ghz before i broke it, and got a new on.. the new one was avia.. 1.33ghz just perfect 🙂 And get the 200fsb chip so you don't have to mess with the jumpers.. just set mobo to 133fsb 🙂

i just got my brand new axia from newegg today. here's the markings

A1000AMT3C
AXIA0114MPMW
K0075090284

week 14 K chip, dunno how much it'll OC but i'll find out later when i get my taisol from compuwiz1 🙂

I got a 1GHz 200fsb oem from newegg about two weeks ago. It was an AXIA week 10. It is running rock solid at 1400 (10x140) at 1.6v. Awesome chip.

I checked, my 1.33 AXIA Y from Newegg was made on 2001 Week 18.

Anyone here with a close week number? How high could you overclock it?

Thanks.

Here is the the link to an essay regarding to AMD o/c; it explains which AMD is good for o/c.

Now, it seems that the new CPU is losing o/c-bility. From what I read, Y class and week 11-14 is best for o/c.

🙂

I sure did... AVIA Week 9s on the 200 FSB units. He seems to be sure they do the trick, but I'm gun shy. I'm going with the 266 FSB CPUs they have because they are Week 11 AXIA cores. 😉
