What is the current best nforce2 amd budget mobo?

need good budget nforce2 mobo for amd processor..............should be able to OC good too.........still Epox 8rda+ or is there a new one in town. Can't find epox 8rda+ anywhere tho........tried newegg, mwave, googlegear (or zipfly or something now)

I like the ASUS A7N8X-X. It's really stable and a decent price. It only runs in single-channel mode however (although it isn't that much of a performance difference on the NF2). Some people argue it's more expensive than other companies' boards, but I'm partial to ASUS.

Abit NF7. rock solid, considerably OCable, an can be had for $75 shipped. search for it on pricewatch.com.

okay guys, can we agree on a single board here..........i remember back in the day, it used be a unanimous vote for the 8rda+........anything like that??

I am thinking about this one..........comments?

ok the only thing about this board is that it is not as feature packed as some of the other budget nforce2 boards, but of course you're paying for the Abit name here. Abit arguably has a reputation for the most reliable, OCable quality boards. the NF7-S is Abit's nforce2 board w/ all the bells and whistles, and can be had for just over $100 shipped. however, if you don't need things like SATA, SATA RAID, ieee1394 firewire, and serillel, then the NF7 is just as solid as the NF7-S, and OCs just as well. i got the NF7 for my sister when i built her machine b/c she'll never use any of those features i mentioned above. however, if you ned those features, then perhaps you are better off going w/ another brand unless you can muster up the extra $30. i don't know off the top of my head, but i believe Epox, Shuttle, and Soltek are a few of the manufacturers who make full-featured boards in the $70-$85 range.

EDIT: the NF7 also lacks the Soundstorm onboard audio that the NF7-S has. the NF7 uses the typical AC97 audio codec.

Shuttle AN35-N is the bets budget AMD mobo I have seen. The FIC AU13 is great though, and does have soundstorm, if you ever plan to use it. But it's not C1 step at Ultra 400 - so it wont run an XP3200. And its $87.00 verses Shuttles $67.00. Shuttle AN35-N best inmy book by a long shot for budget.

i bought a shuttle mn31n. not overclockable but its quite cheap online.

its got mcp-t, firewire, dual head withthe onboard igp etc. its pretty nice.

this is actually where i ordered my NF7 when i built my sister's system just a few weeks ago. the product was in stock, processing was no hassle at all, and shipping was on time. here are the reseller ratings for this place if you want to have a look.

Yea, but I realized the mobo they sell does not have support for 400mhz FSB!
