I am building a little project machine with an N-force board for DVD and MP3 playback and would like to know what the coolest running AMD CPU , assuming they all use the sam HSF. OR, what's the quietest HSF? Quietest low profile HSF?

I am assuming a duron 800 is more than enough for DVD and MP3 playback, so anything from there.

Thanks

Check this link for processor specs. If you want to get a quiet air-cooled setup, get an Alpha 8045 + a quiet 80 mm fan (Pabst, Zalman or similar)

You can run some boards at 90fsb and the multiplier can go down to 3X. The Athlon 4 laptop-based CPU is the coolest. I'd reckon that an Athlon 4 at 90fsb and 3x multiplier, for 270MHz, would be the coolest Socket A processor.
