not at all. I don't think there's an argument to be had. I just found it silly you were basically blaming car drivers in a couple of your posts when in fact, motorcycle operators are often to blame as well given the propensity for some of them to behave so recklessly.
I got tetanus at 17 after being bitten by a dog.
For some reason I never got the booster shot you normally get when you're about 15.
My dad found me having spasms at 2 in the morning and dialed 999 because i wasn't really breathing properly. I was on IV diazepam for 3 weeks and magnesium for 2.
I'm pretty sure if i hadn't been found that night it would have been the end. Breathing was becoming horrendously difficult.

I picked up my shoes (which I tossed over the side of the balcony before I leapt) and hobbled over to my car. I drove home then had my mother drive me to the hospital. I broke three bones in my foot and fractured a vertebrae in my back.
When I was twenty I cut the inside of my hand by my thumb at my bro in law's high school graduation party. I was slicing watermelon and the knife slipped. I didn't think the cut was that bad. I went to the bathroom to wash it out and a few people followed me in. The bleeding just wouldn't stop. I looked over at the bro in law and father in law and said "I'm about to pass the ef out" and so I did. I woke up seated on the toilet and they were slapping me in the face. I remember being pissed at them for slapping me and for them to just let me stay asleep (or die). I remember not wanting to regain consciousness because of the hostility between my girl and I at the time.

When I was roughly 7 years old, my dad and I were driving at about 4AM on a 2 lane road. We were just reaching the apex of a hill in the road, and over comes a pickup truck passing another pickup truck blocking the whole road. I was sleeping and I still remember waking up to the headlights moments before my dad swerved off the road two wheels in the ditch barely getting us around the truck.

I was involved in a car accident in may of 2000.
I was in the passanger seat of my mate Datsun 200B sedan when he lost control of it while negotiating a bend on a freshly grated dirt road, while traveling a 90km/h (10 km's below the posted speed limit for the road).
The little Datsun flung of the road and headed of in to the scenary as my friend tried to regain control of the wayward Datto, for some odd reason rather than just dive on the brakes and pull up (the car was heading into a clearing and a nice barbed wire fence and ditch would have provided extra braking) he decided to try and stear the car back on to the road and as soon as it started to turn the passanger side front suspension collasped and folded the front wheel under the car.
The car then proceded to start rolling, as it began to go over I looked out the passanger window and saw a hugh branch sticking up from an old tree stump smash the window and pass mere inches from my head....then there was ground, sky, ground, sky, ground, sky, thud then a whole lot of dust and glass flying about.
I was winded pretty badly and had a few nice cuts to the side of my head after it had made contact with the side pillar of the door (not a lot of head room in those old Datsuns), I looked up to see my friend hanging by his seat belt bleeding on me...he was trying to undo his seat belt and was screaming for me to get out of the car...I was pretty dazed and was still trying to catch my breath.
Then he kicked out what was left of the windscreen and climbed out, dragging me behind him...as I cleared the windscreen and fell on the ground I could see flames pouring from the engine bay of the Datsun.
My friend pretty much began to sprint away from the car while dragging me across the ground by the front of my shirt...we probably go 10-12 metres from the car before she blew...
I don't remember too much after that...except the heat from the fire.
We both were pretty lucky, all we got were some minor cuts and bruises from that accident...I know that if my friend had been in a smiliar state as me right after the car came to stop, we would have both been killed.

A reckless newb hunter didn't know which way the road was while in the woods and shot his crossbow at me while i was walking... I could feel the wind of the arrow..
My grandfather recently had his gallbladder removed.. Was the size of a softball and his stomach cavity was covered with gangrene. (He tolerates pain more than I've ever seen from any other man..)

going down a hill with maybe 10 percent grade on a bike towards school, car pulls into driveway in front of me, either i hit this dumba$$ or get hit head on if i swerve. I hit the guy's trunk, smashing my bike and getting my hand ripped apart smashing his tail light. Least I got some sweet stiches and a new bike!

When I was three (or was it four?) years old my dad set me down on the backyard porch to watch him mow the lawn. Well, somehow he either set me down two feet away from a rattlesnake or the snake slithered over to me when I wasn't watching. Not a good sign either way. As if that was bad enough, it took twenty minutes of screaming until he realized what I was screaming about. Pretty lucky that the screaming didn't piss the snake off, lol.

Back in high school I was part of the theatre group and we were wireing up a dimmer extension cord for some flood lights that were part of the decor. I wired up the dimmer while two people who've probably never wired up 120V stuff before did the two other ends. This was a 3 prong plug, so I grounded the dimmer box as it was going to stay that way. So we were done, I plug it in while holding the (grounded... well I figured) dimmer box and start turning it but the lights would not go on. So I reach over and go to unplug it.... a flash, and I was a couple feet away, and the box was probably a couple feet away the other direction, in a split second. I've had many shocks before, but not one of that extent, and it was from arm to arm too. I'm pretty sure what happened is I completed the broken circuit, and we're talking a couple amps... and it takes like 1 amp to kill. I somehow survived that. It was fun, but I would not want to do it again.
Moral of story: don't trust other people's wireing, specially when you have to put your trust in something actually being grounded, not LIVE.

When I was 15, I had trouble coming to terms with the fact that the world did not care how smart I was or how good of a heart I had. All the world cared about was what I looked like and whether or not I was bangable. At least that is how it seemed at the time to me. And yet the more I got kudos for being 'hot', the less authentic I felt.
I took a whole bottle of extra strength Tylenol and spent a few days in ICU....
The best thing about that experience was that after I got through it, I realized that I was not the only girl who was smart and wanted to make the world a better place who was totally DEVASTATED to find that the main question in life for a woman is, "Is she hot?".
That is one of the reasons why I choose the old lady icon, even though I don't really look like her YET. Am I hot? Was I hot? Who the hell cares? Am I making a difference in the world, no matter how small? That's the whole point of being here.
Hitting a low point can be a good thing if it sets you back on the right path.

I drowned in a river and was revived by my neighbor after my cousin fished me out of the river.

Told two guys one with a knife and one with a gun to "Chill the f*ck out" and walked away in an attempted mugging a few months ago.
Got thrown from a raft while on a white water rafting trip. Grabbed the boat as it went by. Got sucked under the boat. So I'm trapped under the boat and I'm slamming into rocks under the water. This happened TWICE over the coarse of the trip. I was bruised from the breast bone down. I thought I was gonna drown under that boat.
Was racing and got thrown off a bike when the left handle bar hit a fence post. The onlookers said I flipped 2.5 times in the air and landed on my head. I bleed profusely, the blood spot was on the asphalt for about two weeks after that. The ambulance took me to the hospital. Doctor were amazed that I didn't break anything. Only got a severe concussion and lots of bleeding/swelling. I don't remember anything from that day.
Another one where the car I was in just missed been crushed by a falling tree.
Head on collision with another car. I was the passenger and didn't have my seatbelt on. That was fun.

Hmmm. Interesting thread. Not exactly sure how close I was to death, but I've had a sawed off shotgun held to my head. Not sure if it was loaded or not, but it happened. And my mother abused us (me and my sister) a few other ways--held down in the bathtub and the like.

I had pneumonia pretty bad when I was inthe Navy onboard the USS Inchon. I was on bed rest for about 2 weeks. And I was onboard the USS Inchon during it's fire, although I wasn't in the fire room when it happened.

When I was young and naive it never crossed my mind that riding a rickety old 125cc motor bike at 70Mph+, with nothing but my shorts and T-shirt was a bad idea.
What made it worse was that the terrain was extremely dusty and bumpy everywhere. Ohh, and the tyres were completely bald. Had I come off the bike, I would've most likely lost some body parts.

Had a few, but I'll share the FUNNIEST one ...
Imagine, if u will, driving down a slope in heavy rain.
The road spilts into a T (left and right only) - and if u drive straight on, u end up in a river.
Now, as the car approaches the T-intersection, the car hydroplanes and starts spinning towards the intersection (2 lanes of traffic each = 4 lanes of traffic total).
Instinctively, I turn wheel opposite to the direction of the spin.
I could die by crashing into the rails, into the river, or by smashing into another
Luckily, the car skids onto the unfinished paving on the shoulder - short of the river, across 4 lanes of traffic and without hitting the rails - and stops and I'm ok.
The biggest factor that probably saved my life was the fact that it was about 4:30am and the roads were deserted.
Now here's the FUNNY part ...
as the car was spinning towards the river, there was a single thought that I remember flashing thru my mind "f***, I'm gonna die before I get to play Half-Life 2"
