The company where I work has purchased a bunch of 23" HP & 24" Dell Widescreen LCDs :D, but are using them with our older desktop PCs  The old desktops have craptacular GeForce2 MX 400 video cards w/ 32 megs of RAM and one VGA & one DVI port. When we run the Widescreen LCDs off these cards we can't run them in the correct resolution (single = 1920x1200, Horizontal Span = 3840x1200). The best we can get in horizontal span is 3200x1024 which makes both monitors look sorta crappy, especially the right hand monitor (possibly because it's getting it's signal from the VGA port?).

Anyway, I've been asked to find a dual DVI video card that can be installed in these system that will get us through to next year when we will get entirely new PCs.

So, I'm looking for AGP video cards, that have dual DVI ports, and can do Horizontal Span of 3840x1200. nVidea cards would be perferred over ATI because our automatic software update system was built on a standard nVidia driver. I could install an off brand, but every time a major update is pushed out, it will probably screw up the video settings on the computers with the non-nVidia cards.

Please post here if you know of any make/models that would match my requirements. I don't want to spend a fortune on PCs that will be replaced in less than a year.

Thanks in advance,

Glendor...

XFX also makes a vanilla 6600 with dual dvi. OOS at newegg atm. Not much cheaper than the GTs either.

I think we have a winner. The 6600 is what I was leaning toward, and that is the best price I've seen on it.

thanks
