im moving out of my apartment, and I have hung some stuff up using thumbtacks, and my roommate has some pictures hung up with small nails.

what is the best way to fix them so we dont get charged out of our security deposit?

Put some joint compound/spackle (sp?) in them. If they are small enough, you could resort to using toothpaste and paint.

Toothpaste. Best quick fix ever. Make sure it's white paste if your walls are white though. :)

You really think your landlord will charge you for thumbtack and small nail holes, though? That's DICK!

Fill them up with tissues.
I've done it so many times and always got away with it.
Don't make it too obvious though :)

Turn them into bigger holes.

Then, figure out the best way to repair big holes in walls.

Just get a thing of spackle from Home Depot and patch them up. Shouldn't take more than a minute.

if they're tack holes just get a paint sample and go match it over at lowe's. the paint itself is usually enough to fill the hole. plus you can paint over other assorted marks.
