What is the "best" way to pull a photo off of a PDF file?

Someone scanned a picture and sent it to me as a PDF file. I need to grab the photo off of it and open it in something that will let me print it at a certain size.

If it's ONLY an image in the PDF, open it with your favorite image editor. Photoshop allows using the PDF format to save images.

Edit: Also, the full version of acrobat allows export of images, if it's an actual distilled PDF (which if it's just a scan, it's probably not).

The people suggesting printscreen will only get the screen-draw of the image, not the image itself (which means only 72/96 ppi instead of the original resolution).

Take a picture of it while it's on your screen, scan that photo, and then crop!

Or, yeah, just print screen.

Get out your camera and take a picture of the image while it's on your monitor. Take the memory card from your camera to a store and get a print of that picture. Cut out the portion you need and tape it to a sheet of paper. Take that over to Kinkos and fax that to your office. Next you will need to run that fax through your scanner at the office. Be sure to save as PDF so it saves on file space.

This is the first thing I thought of. Except the last step, saving it as a PDF. I think he may have been joking around on that one.

I may have a juiced-up version of acrobat, but you can export images with it. It's under File -> Export.
