Don't get tuna in water. Tuna in oil is not dry and tastes better. But I stopped eating tuna sandwich. I find that boring.

Compared to actual tuna its like cardboard. Cardboard soaked in oils to be fair but still cardboard.

Fresh tunas really nice, what the hell they do to it to turn it into the stuff than comes out of the cans I have no idea but I assume it involves high temperatures, long times and probably letting it sit in the sun for awhile first to get nice and "ripe".

I highly doubt even if dried tuna is produce, Hell I only recently found out by chance that smoked tuna is even available. I even know that seafood can be had in olive oil.

Miracle Whip is premium top shelf Mayo.

Lets imagine that Mayonnaise was Steak instead of Mayonnaise. Most Mayonnaise would be the equivalent of a Hungry Man TV Dinner microwaved steak.
Miracle Whip would be a medium rare rib-eye grilled by Gordon Ramsey.
You're a mindless zombie. Miracle Whip has sugar in it and was made as a cheaper substitute for mayo. The best commercial mayo is Hellman's or Best Foods, same thing.

OK, guess I'll give MW a try.

Ah! Well maybe not!

I buy the 1/2 gallons of mayo at Costco, transfer to quart jars and refrigerate. I actually don't eat a lot and sometimes it goes bad. Bad mayo is pretty awful.

I don't know that one mayo is better than another. You read the labels and they are the same IIRC.

I never said it tastes like dog shit. I said dog shit tastes better than MW. It has to taste better than MW because MW tastes like shit.

objectively wrong

miracle whip is so good i can eat it by itself. i would never do that with mayonnaise.

a thread about cat food and goblin cum.

I'm not sure it can get any more revolting around here.

FTR I have never eaten shit of any kind, well, maybe figuratively, but that’s it. ;)

I have eaten miracle whip though and it is just awful. If someone is serving anything made with that crap I won’t eat it.

Anyone ever eat tuna straight from the can? I just did since I didn't want to make tuna salad, but was hungry.

That's about the only way I eat it. A bit of hot sauce is all you need. Exception is the smoked in olive oil. I eat that as-is. I don't like mayo much. A bit is ok in tuna salad, but I'm not gonna buy a jar of mayo to make tuna salad every couple months or so. It'll just go bad. That's why I don't make tuna salad.

I make tuna salad so I can stretch my tuna and limited myself to two cans a week. Of course I like it as fancy as possible so to speak.

Holy cripes, I’ve never even heard of people making a tuna sandwich wrong and yet everyone in this thread seems to.

Tuna - mayo - bread, that’s it, that’s all. Mix tuna and mayo, spread on bread, put another piece of bread on top.

Unless that is only what is available or if you are eating from the can, just tuna and mayo is the wrong way to make tuna salad.

The title of the thread is “What is the best way to make a tuna fish sandwich?”

I don’t know why people put celery in anything, but it sure doesn’t belong in a tuna sandwich.

i used to use lettuce in my tuna salad, but it would get slimy and gross after a couple days

but celery stays crunchy until i've eaten all the tuna salad

Yup, I'm all for saving a bit of $$ but NOT on mayo, Hellmans is just heads above the shit Kraft and store brands. For me it's just tuna, Hellmans with about 2 tbs of very finely chopped sweet onion, use whole wheat bread and serve with a garlic dill spear.

I will have to try Hellmans. I didn't know that Miracle Whip has sugar in it.
